This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking registered Nurse/Midwife to work alongside the current Excellence in Care Lead Nurse providing effective leadership, influencing and contributing to the strategic direction, development and delivery of EiC objectives in NHS Fife and the Health and Social Care Partnership.

You should be a Registered Nurse/Midwife with substantial experience at Band 7 with the ability to demonstrate leadership, management and analytical skills.  You will be able to evidence well-developed interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent levels of communication that will support the organisational drive to assure high quality of care delivery and facilitation of learning.

Highly developed knowledge of quality improvement methodology underpinned by theoretical knowledge or relevant practical experience is essential for this role to ensure the delivery of EiC. You will also have knowledge of responsibilities in relation to applicable legislation and professional standards.

As this is a secondment, your line manager support will be required. Please contact me directly with any enquiries:  Shirley Cowie, Excellence in Care Lead, shirley.cowie@nhs.scot

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.

Please note the salary for this post is pro rata to part time hours.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
