Occupational Therapist

SAH Band 6 £38,711 - £43,261 pro rata per annum


35 hours per week rotational over 5 days

Work pattern 9am to 4.30 pm

(hours/work pattern, open to discussion/flexibility)



Who are we?

St Andrew’s Hospice is a registered charity providing specialist palliative care for patients with life-limiting conditions which require complex symptom management, and/or end-of-life care. It is Lanarkshire's specialist hospice and provides multidisciplinary support for patients, their families and carers. The service is provided completely free of charge for the adult population of North and South Lanarkshire and is open to all without distinction of race, gender or creed.


What is the role?

As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and abilities.

- Developing personalized treatment plans to address physical, emotional, and social challenges.

- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.

- Offering support and guidance to patients and their families.

- Evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and adjusting treatment plans as needed.



What we expect of you?

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

- A degree in Occupational Therapy.

- Registration with Occupational Therapy Board.

- Previous experience in a healthcare or hospice setting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- A compassionate and empathetic nature.
