We have an exciting Clinical Nurse Specialist (Learning Disabilities) role within our learning disability inpatient areas.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 Nurse to work as part of the inpatient learning disability team to achieve positive and effective health outcomes for people who have learning disabilities and complex needs.
The post holder will provide nursing and clinical leadership in the role as clinical nurse specialist utilising specialist knowledge to inform decision making and clinical judgement.
Supporting the nursing and multidisciplinary inpatient teams in the assessment, formulation, implementation and evaluation of a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including positive behaviour support (PBS) and, in partnership with individuals with a learning disability.
The applicant must be a 1st level Registered Learning Disability Nurse ideally with experience of working in both an inpatient and community setting. More importantly however, is the ability to evidence knowledge and experience of providing evidence based interventions. The post holder will have an established knowledge in providing clinical leadership in supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
