NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is currently increasing our Adult Nursing workforce capacity to support additional medical /discharge wards opening at Gartnavel General Hospital

We are pleased to invite applications for permanent posts from experienced staff nurses interested in joining our hospital based winter response nursing teams for up to 6 months. Thereafter transitioning in Spring 2025 into a post aligned to your preferred area of nursing practice, hospital and ward location.  

This is an exciting new opportunity for experienced staff nurses who are looking to further develop their skills and experience. It’s also a great opportunity if you are a currently UK NMC registered staff nurse looking to return to the NHS or working as a staff but would like to work in a different clinical specialty.

Spending a period of time as part of our winter response team  will give you an opportunity to use your experience and expertise in patient management and discharge planning.

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate excellent clinical skills, good critical reasoning skills with an adaptable and positive attitude. The ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team is essential along with flexibility.

We have opportunities across both Full time and Part-time working patterns
