We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative individual to join our team as a substantive Consultant in Gynaecology in NHS Tayside. Applications are invited for this substantive 10 programmed activities (PA) per week Consultant Gynaecologist +/- Obstetrics post to support Women’s Health Services across NHS Tayside.
We are a dynamic and forward-thinking team and are keen to recruit a colleague who will work flexibly with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of Women’s Health services across the entirety of NHS Tayside. This is an exciting time of redesign within Women’s services where we are improving our patient pathways to ensure a streamlined process to meet the needs of patients, families, and staff across our services.
The expectation is that the successful candidate will provide support for Gynaecology services across NHS Tayside. There will be opportunities for the successful candidate to develop a Special Interest that complements and meets the needs of the service in Tayside. The post holder will be required to provide planned gynaecology activity in outpatients, day surgery and elective theatres across NHS Tayside.
There is a need to provide out of hours cover for unscheduled care in gynaecology +/- obstetrics. The provision of unscheduled care will include non-resident on call Consultant commitments for gynaecology in Ninewells Hospital with prospective cover and weekend cover. Individuals who wish to contribute to unscheduled obstetrics are also welcomed.
