An opportunity has arisen for a School Nurse based in North Ayrshire at Kilwinning Academy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within North Ayrshire for a school nurse to join our forward thinking and innovative team.  Applications from both current Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (Schools) or those willing to undertake the SCPHN (Schools) course will be considered. 

You will work in partnership with children/young people, families, and multiagency partners to identify health needs and provide support and intervention as defined by the School Nursing Pathways.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You will be expected to be accountable for caseload management, school nurse activity and support the school nursing service as delegated by the team manager.

Evidence of continuing professional development, good communication skills and IT skills is essential

You must be a first level registered nurse, educated to degree level.

A working knowledge of Child Protection and experience of working with care experienced children is desirable.
