The post holder will carry out vital non-pharmacological interventions and activities to enhance the day to day life of people living with dementia within a hospital setting and work regularly without direct supervision.
This offers a unique opportunity to explore people’s life stories to deliver sensitive, individualised, and effective support and care to people living with dementia.
The successful applicant will help develop and deliver a range of therapeutic person-centred interventions, for example ‘Playlists for Life’, with the aim of enhancing quality of life and reducing stress and distress.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Hours of work are: 37hrs Monday to Friday 9.30-5.30pm or 10-6pm or 11-7pm
