Substantive post, Full Time – 37 hours per week,
Band 6 - Salary Range £39,912 - £48,635 per annum plus
Distant Island Allowance of £2,380 per annum
A Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available
NHS Shetland Information and Digital Technology Department is looking for a talented individual to lead on the delivery of technologies in NHS Shetland as part of its wide-ranging Digital Strategy.
Applications are invited from individuals with experience in a healthcare setting, or proven project management experience, or a background in delivering digital transformation in the public sector. Applicants will be driven to use their knowledge and skills to support colleagues make use of new and developing digital initiatives. If you have suitable skills and enthusiasm and an ability to see different ways of working then our Digital Department is looking for you to make a difference.
This is an exciting time for digital technology professionals with new technologies emerging at a fast pace and healthcare providers looking to digital to enable new ways of delivering high quality and sustainable services. Additionally, NHS Shetland is focused on implementation of new systems for patient access and collaboration, as well as integration of technology across the public sector in Shetland and with other North of Scotland Health Boards.
This exciting new post has been created in recognition of the importance of NHS Shetland’s Digital Strategy and Workplan. It is an exciting opportunity to be instrumental in the move towards a paperless working environment for NHS Shetland, making effective use of technology to support the care and treatment of patients.
