An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Training Lead based across NHS Ayrshire & Arran sites.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for designated training across the Health Records Service and, when necessary, across the wider administrative/clinical groups within the organisation.

You will manage the training programmes for the Health Records Service including, e.g. paperlite working, document scanning, culling, destruction of patient records and on use of Patient Management Systems, e.g. TrakCare (PMS) and Clinical Portal (Electronic Patient Record).  You will redesign training packages for health records operational processes and TrakCare Patient Management System.   

You will facilitate workshops and presentations and give individual support and guidance across our Acute Health Records Service and to the wider organisation when required.  

You will be responsible for designated operational activities within the Health Records service.

You will also provide support to the Health Records Service in the execution of their responsibilities as outlined in the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Policy Statement 2022-2023.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You should possess in depth knowledge of Health Records gained through experience, educated to/working towards/operating at a post graduate level and/or a professional qualification. Experience in the delivery of training and/or expert knowledge in the use of a patient management or clinical system is preferred.

You should be a team player with the ability to work autonomously.  Effective listening, interpersonal and IT skills are essential.  You will be expected to travel between various work locations within the Board.

Hours:

37 per week, working Monday to Thursday - 8.45am till 5pm and Friday - 8.45am till 4.30pm.
