The Post:
NSS Human Resources Centre of Expertise is looking for a Organisational Development and Learning Manager to lead and operationally manage the Organisational Development and Learning service as part of our Organisational Effectiveness Team.
You will provide managerial direction and professional leadership of proactive and responsive, specialist OD and Learning advice, guidance and support across NSS and to Public Health Scotland, as part of the delivery of an HR shared service. You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders within both organisations and the wider NHS community.
Working as a member of our HR Operational Management Team you will work in collaboration to ensure operational service delivery is effectively delivered within established quality, performance and governance frameworks.
The Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you should be educated to master’s degree level or have the equivalent experience. You will be a Chartered Member of CIPD or equivalent and evidence of continuous professional development.
You will have significant experience at senior level, ideally in a multi-disciplinary HR department either in a public sector organisation or a large organisation with strong service orientation.
You will have demonstrable experience in organisational development, management development and training along with experience in service transformation and change. This should include the design, commissioning and delivery of OD and Learning interventions and projects to a set budget/resource within complex systems and provision of solutions.
You will have considerable experience of planning and performance management of OD and Learning service provision including a track record of delivery against targets and timescales.
You will possess excellent communication and influencing skills and be able to build effective relationships with all stakeholders. You should have the ability to prioritise your workload effectively whilst managing competing demands.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.
Currently hybrid working.
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
