Job Advert

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary Assistant Support Manager in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Parent & Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS), which sit within Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Services.  This post is full-time, 37 hours per week, and is fixed-term for a period of 12 months to cover the substantive post holder’s maternity leave.

This is a very varied role, with a wide range of responsibilities and so strong organisation and communication skills are essential.  The successful candidate will assist the Deputy Service Manager in the day to day management of the service, including areas such as health and safety, budget monitoring, data management and process development.  The post holder will provide stable and motivational leadership, implementing and monitoring systems and undertaking project work for the service.

The successful candidate will provide line management to the Admin Teams in both CAMHS (based at Rowan Centre in Elgin) and PIMHS (based at Royal Cornhill Hospital in Aberdeen), and so it will at times be a requirement to travel to work on both sites.  The post holder will be primarily based at Rowan Centre, but will provide support to the pan-Grampian CAMHS team as well as PIMHS.

Candidates should have strong problem solving skills and should be able to work under pressure, use their own initiative and foster teamwork. In addition candidates should have the ability to support and develop staff to ensure everyone is performing their job properly and to their full potential.
