SCOTTISH AMBULANCE SERVICE

National Headquarters, Edinburgh

Fixed term or secondment opportunity

Full Time – 5 days per week

We are currently seeking to recruit a full time Treasury Officer on a fixed term basis for our busy financial services team based at our National Headquarters in Edinburgh.  We are currently reviewing working practices around remote working, and it is likely that we will accommodate a flexible working pattern.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Treasury function where you will be responsible for the day to day management of all banking, including processing payments, analysing income, forecasting future cash requirements and credit control.  You will also be involved in the day to day management of the Scottish Ambulance Service Staff Benevolent Fund including the preparation of the charity annual accounts.

Ideally you will have a working knowledge of how a finance/banking system operates to enable you to undertake the role, as well as NVQ/SVQ Level 4/AAT technician level or equivalent experience.

You will be able to find solutions to problems that arise using your own initiative, knowledge and experience.  Applicants will be able to work in a busy office environment and should be able to prioritise their workload according to deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages and financial systems experience are essential for the post.  Previous experience of working within a finance team of a large organisation would also be an advantage.

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
