Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Health Care Support Worker based at University Hospital Crosshouse.


What you will do:

Ward 3D, Gastroenterology 30 bedded ward at Crosshouse Hospital are looking for senior health care support workers to join our nursing team and busy ward.

In partnership with the Registered Nurse the Senior HCSW will review the patient’s individual care plan and will competently perform the necessary aspects of care, within their scope of clinical practise, for the patient as per the individual care plan to ensure delivery of a high standard, recording care delivery and reporting back to the Registered Nurse.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

With an SVQ3 qualification in Healthcare related subject and / or equivalent knowledge gained in a relevant area through experience, on the job training and/or short courses or appropriate competency to undertake role.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills that can excel in a pressured environment in order to collaborate with all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, ensuring the patient journey is positive and safe and care is delivered in a manner which is both professional and person centred.


Previous experience within a care environment is essential, training will be provided.
