This is a full-time post 37 hours per week worked over a variable shift pattern Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with 1 day finish 4.30pm / 10am to 6pm with 1 day finish 5.30pm / 12 hr shift x 3 per week plus 2.5hrs / compressed hours over 4 days all shifts include public holiday working.
Shift pattern will be agreed with successful candidate.

An opportunity has arisen to work within the Board’s automated Pharmacy Distribution Centre (PDC). The post will be based within the Homecare / Purchasing environment of the PDC to assist in the management and facilitation of Homecare Services and Purchasing for NHSGG&C and ensure the effective and timely processing and purchasing of documentation from relevant suppliers and services.
Duties include processing patient prescription registrations, renewals and invoices via the Pharmacy Stock Management System, e-filing, preparing prescriptions for provider collection and posting, updating spreadsheets and database, monitoring generic email box and dealing with relevant queries. Although this is not a patient facing role it is key to frontline services.
The successful candidate must have good IT, organisational and communication skills. A minimum of two years’ experience in the field of purchasing and supplies and/or use of IT systems within a large multi-discipline environment. Experience working in a Pharmacy or similar environment and relevant SVQ qualifications is desirable.
A general education, basic numeric and literacy skills demonstrated by Standard Grade qualifications or equivalent and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
