The post-holder will be responsible for the clinical leadership and day to day management of the Community/Inpatient Physiotherapy team and be actively involved in profession specific activities. This involves:
- Leading, managing and supporting a team of staff in this specialist area of Physiotherapy, ensuring consistent operational management of the Physiotherapy service.
- Ensuring the highest standard of service delivery to patients which is fair and equitable.
- Provision of expert advice and education to Physiotherapy staff and students through developing and maintaining links locally and nationally.
- Working in conjunction with the General Manager and Physiotherapy Clinical Leads to deliver strategic and operational management of the Physiotherapy service.
- Manage own caseload of patients effectively and efficiently. To act independently to provide a comprehensive specialist service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral and discharge to a range of patients referred to the service.
Support staff with the management of complex cases needing a high degree of clinical expertise
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
