Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Worker based at University Hospital Crosshouse & University Hospital Ayr,


What you will do:

Working closely with medical and nursing staff within both University Hospital Ayr and Crosshouse, you would require to carry out clinical tasks such as cannulation, venepuncture, electrocardiograms and arterial blood gas sampling. Experience in carrying out venepuncture and cannulation are desirable. Experience in carrying out electrocardiograms and arterial blood gas sampling would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided where required.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You should be a team player and have the ability work in a fast moving environment. The post holder is required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way.  Experience of working in an acute care healthcare setting and a willingness to undertake further training and education to function in this role are essential
