We are currently looking for a hard working, enthusiastic and friendly person to join our dynamic, fast paced Acute Theatre Suite.
We offer wide and varied surgical specialties that include Maxillo Facial, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Trauma, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Urology & Paediatrics, covering Elective and Emergency procedures in all of the afore mentioned specialities.
We are delighted to announce that we also have Robotic Assisted Surgical Technology training pathways for specific theatre specialities and its team members.
You should possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work cohesively within the multidisciplinary team. Experience of working within a theatre is essential, while maintaining confidentiality at all times. Hours will be worked to meet the needs of the service which will include shift & weekend work and rotational nights as required, with flexibility to work over all sites in Fife.
You should have undertaken and possess an SVQ level 3 in Perioperative practice / SVQ level 3 health care support (clinical perioperative units) qualification.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
