An exciting opportunity has arisen within the children’s ward at Dr Grays hospital for a qualified Band 3 Play Worker to join our dynamic forward thinking team.

All applicants must hold a HNC Childhood Practice or/

SVQ Level 3 Childcare and Education/or

SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7

The successful candidate must have the relevant qualification and proven experience of working professionally with children/Young people of a variety of ages as a qualified play provider in a variety of settings for a minimum of 2 years.

The Children’s ward is a 7 bedded unit functioning in an ambulatory capacity with a high turnover of paediatric patients and the potential for acutely ill children to be transferred to RACH.

Hours of work may include some evening and weekend working

They successful candidate must also be enthusiastic, hardworking with excellent interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate must be able to attend an Induction programme based in Royal Aberdeen Childrens Hospital.

Elgin, and the surrounding Moray County is a popular area to live in, with good transport links to Aberdeen and Inverness.
