Applications are invited for the post of Speciality Trainee in Interventional Radiology (IR). This post offers training in Interventional Radiology, with a view to gaining a CCT in Clinical Radiology with Interventional Radiology sub-specialisation. Applicants must currently be in a Specialist Training Radiology Programme, hold a National Training Number and due to complete ST3 in 2025 (usually completing ST3 by August and therefore commencing this post in August 2025). There may be scope for a suitable candidate to join at ST4 level – see job description for further details. Candidates need to demonstrate satisfactory progression so far and also demonstrate a commitment to IR as a career. Acceptance of the post extends training to include an ST6 year and will take the applicant to their CCT date.

INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

The Interventional Radiology post will offer IR training opportunities within the North of Scotland, with some training potentially requiring to be gained in other centres. Training in General Radiology will also be provided, particularly in ST4/5.

The Postgraduate Dean confirms that this placement and / or programme has the required educational and Postgraduate Dean's approval.

The salary scale for this post is £45,504 - £71,550 per annum, pro rata.
