Join Our Dynamic Team as a Senior Information Analyst!

Are you passionate about leveraging technology to improve health and social care? The Lanarkshire Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our innovative and integrated team. Hosted by the South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership, our TEC team focuses on three exciting programmes: Telecare (South Lanarkshire), Telehealth (pan-Lanarkshire), and Innovation and Solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Empower citizens to self-manage their health conditions and live safely and well through technology-enabled care projects.

• Support the TEC Team in communicating the benefits of new technology-enabled care approaches to a wide range of key stakeholders.

• Develop a new data management, analytics, and technology research programme across the entire team.

• Collaborate closely with the Principal Information Analyst, Service Improvement Support Manager, and the wider team.

• Deploy a wide range of skills directly into service development, with considerable scope for growth within the role.

What we'll need you to bring

  • Degree with a high numerical and statistical content
  • Skills gained through a mixture of internal and external formal training, e.g. graduate diploma qualification
  • Experience of Information Management in a Health Care environment with Experience at a senior level
  • Specialist knowledge of the organisation’s information requirements
  • Highly developed IT and information analysis skills with an in-depth specialist knowledge and experience of application of NHS data definitions, information standards and policies is essential
  • The postholder should have a theoretical knowledge base and practical experience of managing a skills based staff.
  • Effective and confident communication skills are required to present, advise and instruct analyses, procedures and standards to a senior audience.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience using Patient Management Systems such as TrakCare and MORSE.
  • Experience in providing advice on complex enquiries and situations in a health and social care context.
  • Experiene of working with technology-enabled-care data.
  • Experience of evaluation
  • Knowledge of NHS environment and key issues/priorities
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence Processes
  • Demonstrates ability to work to deadlines and manage own workload
  • Indication of highly developed IT skills working with a broad range of analytical and business intelligence packages
  • Demonstrates high level of communication skills with a range of disciplines and levels
  • Ability to explain data and/or teach data processes to staff and external agencies
  • Demonstrates ability to supervise and manage a skill-based staff
  • Ability to work under pressure, often switching between tasks at short notice
  • Role requires occasional movement between sites. e.g. a full, valid UK/EU/EEA drivers licence and access to car or willingness to use public transport

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.


Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in TEC Team within Blantyre LIFE care campus
