The opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse who is looking for an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge within the specialist field of diabetes.
This post will allow the successful candidate to advance their knowledge in diabetes and the long-term health needs of adults.
The post holder will provide clinical expertise both in inpatient and outpatient care, and will join a dynamic team within Forth Valley. Cross site working will be required. The applicants must be committed to providing an excellent standard of patient care, and also to their own professional development. He/she will have excellent communication skills and be supportive and open to new initiatives.
As a growing service meeting the needs of an expanding local population, the service provides a number of routine and specialist services, including; providing multidisciplinary clinic support, nurse-led clinics, ante-natal and pre-conception clinic, insulin pump clinic, transition clinic, virtual clinic, emergency reviews and managing routine and urgent ward referrals.
You must have a willingness and appetite for life-long learning to develop and enhance your own personal and professional development and contribute to the professional development of others within your area. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
Prescribing qualification desirable but not essential. Support would be given to the successful candidate to complete this when in post.
