NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

We will fully support disabled candidates, and candidates with long-term conditions or who are neurodivergent by making reasonable adjustments to our recruitment policy and practice.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

This temporary rotational vacancy is currently within the NHS Lothian Acute Dietetic Service. This post is one of 8 Lothian wide rotational posts within the acute service and is currently based at the Western General Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a dietitian who has a keen interest in acute dietetic service provision to gain experience in a fast paced acute hospital.

We are strongly committed to training and support for CPD and clinical governance, with a supervision framework, annual appraisals, peer support and training opportunities to further develop clinical skills.

We would welcome applications from either newly qualified dietitians who are keen to get their career started, or from dietitians who already have some professional experience but would like to further progress their career as part of our skilled and dedicated team.
