Job Advert

An opportunity has arisen for an HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) Registered Paramedic wishing to work for The Scottish Ambulance Service within Gairloch as lead clinician on an Accident & Emergency Resource whilst supporting and developing our paramedic and ambulance technician student cohort.

The post is for an average 12hrs per week annualised hours contract.  Annualised hours contracts allow you to provide a minimum of 6 weeks notice of your availability to cover your contracted hours at your base location ensuring all hours are worked in the financial year.  This can provide a more flexible approach for individuals who seek to work in a remote and rural community.

We are seeking applications from enthusiastic and pro-active paramedics keen to deliver high quality care to patients within the surrounding areas. It is crucial that applicants are team players who are flexible in approach, display utmost professionalism and can show a ‘lead by example’ ethos.

Applications are sought from suitably qualified HCPC Registered Paramedics.

Successful applicants must show an enthusiasm towards supporting students/trainees through their education and placement period.

This post will be part of a team in a remote location working from home with an on call commitment.  There is a requirement to reside within a reasonable distance of Gairloch.  Residing in excess of 5 miles of Gairloch will require to be discussed to see if this can be agreed prior to appointment.
