NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The post will be for 6 months and will be based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Applications are invited for the above post in General Medicine, based in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), Glasgow. This post will commence in Feb 2025.
This post is not part of the National recruitment process for Specialty Training in Acute Internal Medicine and is not recognised for training by NHS Education for Scotland. The post will provide an opportunity for ongoing development of skills and experience in Acute Internal Medicine for 6 months.
Candidates would preferably be in possession of MRCP (UK) or equivalent, and have appropriate experience in General Medicine.
To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a license to practice.
The successful applicant will take a full part in the Medical mid-tier daytime and on-call rota.
