The post holder will work a 5 over 7 day shift pattern and will be required to participate in weekend working, extended hours service (10.30-18.30 on a rota basis), Public Holiday working and out of hours on call service.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board is one of the largest health boards in the UK and home to major specialist services such as renal medicine, transplantation and vascular surgery, with state-of-the-art Critical Care, Theatre and Diagnostic Services. We provide a large number of specialist services to the West of Scotland and the wider population of Scotland in addition to a full range of secondary care services including cardiology and cardiac surgery, renal, oncology and bone marrow transplantation. For a number of these services, the children’s hospital is recognised as the sole provider in Scotland.
You will provide patient focussed clinical pharmacy services to a varied group of patients and be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, advising and promoting the safe effective use of medicines and supporting technician led medicines management initiatives.
The post holders will participate in the Band 6 rotation, which includes:
- Medicine
- Surgery
- Care of Older People
- Regional
- oncology
- paediatrics
- Aseptic
- and Dispensary

These vacancies are open to those who are currently on the GPhC register, including those who are currently practicing as pre-registration pharmacists. Continuous professional development is encouraged and supported.
