NHS GRAMPIAN
PHYSIOTHERAPY HCSW
ABERDEEN ROYAL INFIRMARY
BAND 4
Hours: 37 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HCSW who wishes to further progress their career within the Acute Physiotherapy Team.
The successful candidate will have several years experience as a HCSW within either a therapy team or a ward setting, or will hold a SVQ Health Care qualification or equivalent. Previous experience or knowledge of Medical Specialities is essential for this role.
This post will support and work with a team of physiotherapists to deliver care to patients within the Medical Specialities based in the Emergency Care Centre. A key part of this role will be to hold a delegated caseload of patients and provide treatments and interventions within a defined framework. You will be well supported and will be required to work both independently and collaboratively within the team, using your own initiative and be able to problem solve. You will be involved in helping patients to gain safe and independent mobility and support discharge planning. There may also be an opportunity to work in other speciality areas within the hospital.
The successful candidate will be well motivated and capable of dealing with a changeable workload. The ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members/carers and members of the multi-disciplinary team is essential.
The Acute Physiotherapy team offers a supportive environment to further develop your career through regular supervision, appraisal and continual professional development. Staff are actively encouraged to do further training in line with their Personal Development Plan.
