General Manager Ambulance Control Centres
We are seeking a dynamic, inspirational and experienced manager who will be responsible for the performance and delivery of the operational service and day to day leadership of the Scottish Ambulance Service Control Centres.
Working at a national level, the postholder will ensure that the day to day quality of service, operational performance, clinical interventions, human resources and personnel development, financial management, business continuity, resilience, communications, systems and facilities operate effectively meet the standards and targets agreed by the Board.
The postholder will lead and develop a cohesive Leadership Team consisting of national managers and senior staff to ensure that there is effective and efficient business management as well as attending relevant Committees and Governance Groups contributing to the development and implementation of the Service’s Strategic Plans, ensuring they complement and interface with other NHS partners and align to Scottish Government Policy.
You will be self-motivated, independent and able to work within a minimum of supervision to achieve standards – often under pressure in a time critical environment. You will also have significant experience in leading, developing and motivating multi-faceted professional teams, work in partnership with the ability to make difficult decisions, at times of conflicting priority and in potentially complex environments.
The base location for this post will be Edinburgh or Glasgow, agreed with the successful candidate.
Selection for this post will be held on 21 March 2025 and 27 March 2025 within the central belt of Scotland, the exact location to be determined.
