An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Department of Spiritual Care for an Administrative Assistant who will be based within the NHS Tayside Staff Wellbeing Service. The post is based within at the Wellbeing Centre, Royal Victoria Hospital, Dundee.

The Staff Wellbeing Service provides a dedicated listening service for NHS Tayside staff. This post provides an exciting opportunity to develop new knowledge and skills.

The successful applicant should have excellent communication skills, an administration background and an ability to provide high quality administrative support.

Day to day, the role will involve:

  • Being the initial contact for the Staff Wellbeing Service
  • Participate in the provision of comprehensive administrative support for the Department of Spiritual Care and the efficient delivery of services provided.
  • Maintain IT systems for service i.e. electronic diaries, Microsoft Forms, excel.
  • Support the Department of Spiritual Care in the use of IT systems e.g. PECOS, SSTS.
  • Link and communicate effectively with Partner Organisations, other NHS Departments, Senior Managers,
  • Scottish Prison Service, GP’s and external agencies throughout Tayside as required.

The role occasionally involves receiving calls from staff who are experiencing levels of distress, and requires the ability to respond confidently, calmly and compassionately is essential.

Hours of work are: Monday (5 hours), Friday (5 hours)

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
