We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapy assistant to join our friendly Medicine of the Elderly Occupational Therapy team at WGH.

You will support the Occupational Therapists (OT's) working in the inpatient Medicine of the Elderly wards. You will work with minimal supervision to implement agreed OT plans as prescribed by the qualified OT. This will include gathering background information, a variety of practices with patients in addition to making onward referrals including adaptive equipment and technology.

Having an awareness of the role of Occupational Therapy in the acute setting and clearly demonstrating this in your application is essential.

You will be compassionate, have good communication and time management skills and work well within a team.

There will be a commitment to weekend working in the Occupational Therapy team at WGH as part of the 5 over 7 day working pattern.
