An opportunity has arisen for an individual to apply for this Band 7 post based at Ninewells hospital within the clinical radiology department
This is exciting opportunity will allow the successful applicant to work closely with Senior Radiology and Nursing leadership teams to support Imaging services across NHS Tayside .
This post will support the operational management of Clinical Radiology and Nuclear Medicine / PET CT including HR, finance and budgeting, workforce and service planning, improvement and clinical governance. The post requires the individual to work flexibly which may include an on-call commitment.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate effective leadership and workforce managerial skills with a flexible approach to working and have knowledge of interventional radiology/operating department services or similar.
It is essential that the candidate has experience of clinical activity monitoring and contributing to service performance management as well as experience of working within and contributing to quality assurance systems, using quality assurance data.
Knowledge of Health, safety and risk management in the clinical workplace is essential with knowledge of Radiation protection desirable..
Candidates will possess a degree or equivalent qualification, demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development and have previous Band 6 experience in acute/critical care environment and staff supervisory experience.

Hours of work: 37 hours per week
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
