This is a Permanent full time position.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday 9-5 (One day 9-4:30 for rww)

Eye screening photography Examinations of Diabetic patients’ eyes. The Retinal Eye Screener will be responsible for completing their appointed clinics. The service deals with a high turnover of Diabetic patients. NHS GG&C currently have over 85,000 Diabetic patients registered. The service operates from multiple sites across GG&C Health Board. A driving license is preferred.

The Retinal Eye Screener is responsible for the smooth running of their clinics. The Retinal Eye Screener works independently after a period of supervision and screening programme training with management support provided by the clinical Coordinator, service manager, lead clinician and associate specialist as required.

The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with the Service Manager, Ophthalmologist and Lead Clinician to ensure effective utilisation of specialised equipment and supplies and to ensure high quality screening services are delivered to the patient.

This is an exciting opportunity where training will be given. It would ideally suit someone with a Health or social care background.

This 37 hour post which is equivalent of 5 working days. Consideration will also be given to job share opportunities.
