The shift pattern for this position is 5/7.

An opportunity has arisen for a Dietetic Support Worker to support the Oncology Dietetic Team, based at Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with an interest in nutrition. The successful applicant will work as part of the Oncology team supporting a clinical caseload at the Beatson and other sites every week. The post holder will work in partnership with dietitians in undertaking tasks that will encourage and assist patients, who are acutely ill, to meet individual nutritional needs. The post holder will work with dietitians to support and contribute to the delivery of patient care. The post holder will also support the planning, delivery and evaluation of nutritional care goals.

The service is paper-light, and all records and processes are electronic. IT competence and the ability to work between IT packages is essential. Communication is a core skill for this post; you should be confident in your ability and enjoy communicating with both staff and patients. This post is governed by the Health Care Support Workers Code of Conduct. The working pattern is Monday to Friday.
