LOCUM APPOINTMENT FOR TRAINING (CT1-3) POST
General Adult Psychiatry
MIDPARK HOSPITAL, DUMFRIES
Applications are invited for the above post that is available until August 2025 with an immediate start.
Salary scale £44,480 - £69,941, dependent on experience.
This is a full-time LAT post, based within a Community Mental Health Team with inpatients at Midpark hospital. There are on-call duties at Midpark hospital. The postholder will join a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team and will be responsible to the area Consultant Psychiatrist.
The Consultant Psychiatrist will provide the medical input and supervision to the trainee doctor. Clinical and Educational supervision will be provided. The teams have well established links with Primary Care, other psychiatric services, and local community resources.
The postholder would be regarded as a core part of the clinical team, providing continuity of care and medical back up on site. The main clinical responsibilities will be aimed at patients with severe and enduring mental illness, but with scope to see new patients.
This post holds educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean.
To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a licence to practice.
