What you will do:

In the post of Clinical Nurse Manager (NHS Band 8a) you will join a progressive, high performing health and social care partnership which has strong values and works hand in hand with its communities, to improve health and wellbeing of its citizens. We have begun a radical transformation to further improve health and wellbeing and you will be key to leading the community nurses in their clinical and professional development at the heart of local communities.

In this post you can further develop your knowledge and skills in partnership working, in quality improvement and clinical governance and provide operational management support and transformational leadership to a full range of Community Nursing (District Nursing in hours and out of hour’s teams, Community Treatment and Care Nurses, Specialist Practitioner District Nurses).

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Localities Health & Care and will have delegated responsibility for day-to-day delivery of safe standards of nursing care, recruitment & retention, budget management, delivery of operational guidelines, continuous improvement performance and variance management, development and implementation of standard operational procedures and best practice/value approaches. Working closely with the senior professional nurses and Nurse Consultant and other operational and clinical leaders across health & care professions the post holder will support the delivery of professional standards and developments within services.

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

UK Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
