This is a permanent, part-time post of 22 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday.

We are seeking a skilled audio typists to join our surgical specialties team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional typing speed and accuracy, as well as a solid understanding of medical terminology. Your primary responsibility will be to transcribe medical reports and letters, and other documents accurately and efficiently. The audio typist will provide a comprehensive service to both the General Surgery and Urology Consultants, as well as to Clinical Nurse Specialists and junior medical staff. You will also support the secretarial teams. There will be occasional assistance required provided to the general admin team, as and when required. The role of an audio typist is a challenging job and you will be required to use your own initiative and ensure patient confidentiality. You will possess excellent time management skills and be responsible for scheduling your own workload to ensure that typing is completed within the agreed performance targets.
