The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday 0830-1630.

East Dunbartonshire HSCP has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Staff Nurse to join their School Nursing Team.

School Nursing works in partnership with children, young people and their carers to develop positive physical and emotional health and wellbeing – assisting them to attain their full potential. School Nursing works in partnership with the wider multi-agency team eg social work, education, police and third sector organisations – to identify and support health and wellbeing needs for a designated population of school aged children & young people based on the Principles of Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC).

Candidates require to have a working knowledge of child protection systems and are expected to provide accessible, safe, effective and person centred care as part of the School Nursing Service. Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills along with knowledge of IT systems are essential. The post holder will be accountable for leadership as part of the wider team and will be responsible for the day to day management of their own workload as delegated by the school nurse.

Ability to travel across East Dunbartonshire is essential.

Core working hours 37 hours per week: Monday –Thursday 0830-1630 ; Friday 08.30-16.00
