Job Advert

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a permanent, full time position.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.

An opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Assistant to join the North East Rehabilitation Service. The multidisciplinary team provides physical rehabilitation for people within their own homes with the aim of maximising independence and preventing admission to hospital and long term care. This post is an integral part of the team.

Your workload would include speaking with patients, relatives and referrers by phone, dealing with electronic referrals (SCI store), uploading them onto the clinical system (EMIS), checking email inbox and dealing with correspondence. There would be an expectation that you would be familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. You would be expected to input data into systems, run reports and compile clinical letters. Previous experience in the health or social care environment would be advantageous.
