Physiotherapist Band 7
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the acute physiotherapy team for a Band 7 Physiotherapist to be part of the Orthopaedic Trauma unit in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) which is the largest hospital in Grampian. ARI has close links with the universities , is a Major Trauma Centre for the North of Scotland and the ECMO centre for Scotland.
The successful post holder should have significant experience at a Band 6 level or above working in the Acute Healthcare setting with sound knowledge of complex orthopaedic trauma.
They will be responsible for the delivery of the physiotherapy service across the trauma orthopaedic unit and for managing a team of staff covering 2 orthopaedic wards and plastic surgery ward.
They will be responsible for developing working relationships with existing teams of staff and will be part of a job share with an established member of staff and will work collaboratively with the Elective Orthopaedic B7s, for a cohesive Physiotherapy Orthopaedic Team.
They will responsible for the clinical education and assessment of physiotherapy students, along with contributing to service development and redesign.
This post will lead and contribute to the orthopaedic trauma weekend rota.
