Role: The Maintenance Craftsperson (Joiner) will be part of the multi-skilled team, within the Estates Department. The post holder will assist in providing a day to day joiner maintenance service for the Division in East and Midlothian, including the Bioquarter Campus.
As well as your starting salary there is a recruitment and retention premium of £4,517 per annum which has been awarded to craftsman posts. This is a temporary agreement and will be reviewed again at the end of March 2025.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. If there is any change to what is currently required, this will be confirmed by either the Hiring Manager or the Recruitment Team.
