The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and / or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.
Assessment of presenting conditions, initiation of investigations, determination of differential diagnosis, initiate treatment, prescribing and where appropriate discharge patients.
In the absence of the Team Leader/ Senior Charge Nurse workload will be assigned by the post holder, who will have responsibility for managing defined workload within professional guidelines and competency framework.
Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21 training programme, where whilst undergoing training, they will be paid a 70% of the top of Band 6 and on completion of training will then move on to Band 6 scale.
In this key role, you will:
- Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients to ensure delivery of a high standard of care
- Practice at all times within the NMC The Code.
- Manage own time to meet the various demands of the role, including clinical, educational and administrative elements.
- Participate in research by working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and academic partners.
What You'll Bring:
- Registered Nurse with current revalidation and NMC Registration.
- Educated to/operating at Degree Level.
- Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
