The shift pattern for this position is 4/7shifts- this includes nightshift, public holidays and weekends.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within North East Mental Health In-patients (Stobhill) to work in our General Adult Mental and IPCU Wards. Whilst you will provide a service to the site you will be based in Portree Ward.

General Adult Mental Health Wards in Stobhill Hospital provide specialist care and treatment to patients with an acute mental health illness. This position would give you an opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills in this service, as well as giving you access to specific training within this field. The post holder will directly contribute to safe, efficient and person centred care and treatment and will be required to work across the mental health inpatient service (e.g hospital site).

Inpatient Services provide mental health nursing care for:

  • People requiring acute mental health care (e.g. older adults & adult)
  • People requiring specialist mental health care (e.g. specialist dementia care/ intensive mental health care/ rehabilitation etc.)
  • People requiring continued period of assessment, care and treatment for complex mental health care needs.

You must be able to demonstrate that you are able to fulfil the essential criteria for this role. The hours of this post are worked on a continental or 4/7 shift pattern including weekends and night duty.
