Primary Care Registered Nurse, Band 5 x 2 posts

FULL TIME/PERMANENT


The Registered Nurses - Adult within the Primary Care Team deliver a variety of nurse lead Assessments and Interventions, including Medication Administration, Health Screening, Managing Medical Emergencies, Delivering Enhanced Care to a small case load, Managing Minor Injuries and Long Term Conditions Clinics, while working in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary Prisoner Healthcare team of, General Practitioners, Mental Health and Substance Misuse Nursing Teams. The team is led by a Senior Charge Nurse who has responsibility for Primary Care Nursing Teams across HMP Perth, HMP Castle Huntly and HMP &YOI Bella Community Custody Unit.


We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses who can display good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills that are committed and motivated to delivering high quality safe and effective patient centred care to this complex patient group within this unique setting.


You must display good communication and interpersonal skills, be organised and have experience of working within a caring environment. You will be committed to delivering high quality safe and effective patient centred care to this complex patient group within this unique setting.


Shift pattern can be flexible with either 12 hour or 7.5 hour shifts Mon-Fri and 9.5 hours at weekends over a 7 day period, however may be subject to change to meet the needs of the service as it evolves.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register
