Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for medical education? NHS Lothian is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead and enhance our Postgraduate Medical Education workstream within the Medical Education Directorate. You’ll play a vital role in delivering a sustainable, data-driven programme that meets GMC and NHS Education for Scotland standards, while continuously improving the experience of resident doctors in Lothian.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a robust programme plan for medical education
Establish and monitor new and existing workstreams
Collaborate with HR, Recruitment, Digital, and eHealth teams to improve onboarding
Support the increasing number of International Medical Graduates
Drive programme improvement in induction, training, and governance
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Strong programme/project management experience
🔹 Ability to develop data-driven, cost-effective solutions
🔹 Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
🔹 Understanding of GMC/NHS education frameworks (desirable)
