This is a permanent, fulltime role of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Sunday (including public holidays and backshift).

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Practitioner to join Renfrewshire HSCP Community Nursing service. As an Assistant Practitioner you will work under the supervision of a registered practitioner, to provide high quality care and treatment as a member of the care giving team informed by excellent communication, analysis of information, planning and organisational skills, complying with legislation.

The post covers a large geographical areas supporting patients in their home environment. The post holder is required to work flexibly across this geographical area and District Nursing Teams.

The post holder will be supported by the District Nursing Team to work towards completion of local competency framework and Mandatory Induction Standards Workbook, and NHSGGC Level 4 competency frameworks, if they have not already completed.

You must be able to demonstrate evidence of achievement of SCQF Level 8 in a healthcare related subject (or equivalent), or, experience demonstrated through the application of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) from a credit rating body e.g. college/university. Trainees may be considered; if any support is required for educational components the post holder will be remunerated at band 3 level until this has been achieved.

Experience of working in a Health and Social Care setting is desired.
