Complementary Therapist
Hours: 37 hours per week. may be more suitable for candidates looking for part time/job share
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our dynamic multi- professional team as a complementary therapist at our Specialist Palliative Unit in Roxburghe house.
Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to support patients and relatives with complex needs during difficult and often distressing circumstances.
The post holder will also play a key role in supporting our day unit which offers a 12 week programme for out patients with life limiting conditions.
The post holder must have
- Accredited qualifications (e.g. ITEC, IIHHT, IIST, NVQ3 or Equivalent)/Qualified Nail Technician with experience.
- Knowledge of working in a hospital / healthcare setting is preferable
- Be able to provide emotional support and tailor treatments to improve patient’s symptoms, physical and mental health.
- Recent experience of delivering complementary therapies to people who have health problems including palliative care needs these therapies may include massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, meditation etc.
