The Clinical Perfusion Service at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is looking to appoint a Chief Clinical Perfusionist.
The service provides a comprehensive range of cardiac services, planned and emergency, to adult patients including ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pumping and intra-operative cell salvage.
As Chief Perfusionist you will be responsible and accountable for the leadership of all aspects of the Clinical Perfusion Service for NHS Grampian and the North of Scotland, including delivery of a 24-hour on-call North of Scotland service.
Eligible candidates will:
• Be registered with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland
• Be fully accredited by the Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland
• Demonstrate significant clinical experience acquired post accreditation as a Senior, Deputy or Chief Clinical Perfusionist
• Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to the Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists professional and clinical policies, both national and local
• Demonstrate motivational leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability and experience to lead in the delivery of a highly specialised clinical perfusion service
• Have proven highly specialist clinical knowledge gained via advanced theoretical and practical study
• Be enthusiastic, self motivated with the ability to problem solve, negotiate and influence
• Have the ability to lead in the development of strategies for management and delivery of high quality care with the multidisciplinary team
• Be able to work with the multi-disciplinary team with a responsible, well organised and proactive approach
