PA to the Director of HR, OD & OH&S

This permanent post is for the Director of Human Resources, Organisational Development and Occupational Health & Safety and is based in the NHS Borders, Headquarters on the Borders General Hospital site.

This post is key to providing high quality confidential administrative and business support management to the Director of HR, OD & OH&S linking with the wider organisation, managing competing demands and undertaking a range of delegated projects for the Director.

Key tasks will include assisting with the prioritisation of the Director’s incoming workload; triaging emails and highlighting priorities; diary management; working collaboratively with other Board Executive Team PAs; proactively managing and actioning a broad range of complex tasks including ensuring relevant follow up action is taken; keeping track of daily actions and priorities for the Director and pre-empting their needs and deadlines; organising meetings, issuing agendas and papers, the production of formal minutes and action notes and follow up of actions between meetings; preparing a range of internal/external correspondence, papers and presentations in a timely and accurate manner; and providing admin support to the Whistleblowing function.

Applicants should possess excellent communication and organisational skills together with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Powerpoint, Excel and O365.
