This is a permanent, full time position.
The shift pattern for this position is Monday- Friday.
This post forms part of the business support team and provides comprehensive secretarial and business administrative support to Specialist Children’s Services multi-disciplinary team in relation to the Specialist Community Paediatric team, including Paediatrician, Nursing, OT, Physio and SLT. The post-holder will contribute achievement of the role of the area through efficient provision of a variety of secretarial and administrative duties. The post-holder will work independently for much of the time and demonstrate a clear understanding of the service.
The post-holder will supervise the day to day administration of the team, ensuring its smooth running and efficiency. They will be the day to day supervisor of Band 2 and 3 staff within the service.
The post-holder may have some delegated day to day responsibility for facility/site management ensuring health & safety legislation and policy is up-held and to ensure a safe working environment for patients, visitors and staff. This post requires in office working majority of hours.
You must be able to demonstrate competency in the use of range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL and have a recognized qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration at Level 3, or significant relevant equivalent practical experience.
You should have a good knowledge of office procedures and systems and able to demonstrate prior experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role.
