This is a permanent, full time position.

The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Thur 06:30-15:00, Fri- 06:30-11:30

The post requires applicant(s) to be time served with an electrical or mechanical bias with the necessary qualifications and/or experience described in the attached Job Description.

A high level of knowledge, understanding and experience of complex electrical/engineering systems in industrial/healthcare premises is essential. This includes a good understanding of new boiler technology and controls, PLC controls, and compressed air systems in order to manage a multi-skilled maintenance workforce. Experience and understanding of industrial laundry machinery & operations would be advantageous as the post holder is responsible for the day-to-day preventative and breakdown maintenance services at Hillington Laundry and as such will be expected to understand and manage maintenance/breakdown situations accordingly both on own initiative and as directed by line manager.

The successful applicant will also have responsibilities (but not limited) to; ensure the daily needs of the Laundry Estates team are met in terms of staffing resource/coverage, spare parts, SSOW implementation, sufficient record keeping and management of contractors.

The post holder is expected to maintain a flexible and co-operative attitude to working hours and be responsive to changing circumstances. These may be due to plant breakdowns or production operational requirements.
