An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated RNLD or first level registered nurse educated to degree level or with equivalent clinical community experience to join the Keep well team as a nurse assessor for learning disabilities. Community and clinical experience is desirable but will consider newly qualified nurses.
Keep well is a community based early intervention service which aims to provide person centred, health focused assessments, along with health promoting conversations and support, to inspire health behaviour changes and prevention of disease. Keep well targets those who are most vulnerable in society to reduce inequalities in ill health and to improve health and retention in work throughout Forth Valley.
Recently Keep well have taken on the additional role of undertaking the national annual Learning disabilities assessments though out Forth Valley. The successful candidate will therefore display expert nursing skills, and be aware of current trends in learning disability nursing.
The post-holder will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be a flexible team player. They will be able to work under their own initiative and be able to motivate themselves and others. IT and Phlebotomy skills are desirable, but full training will be given if required. The post holder will have good decision making skills and be an organised person with the ability to problem solve and work in partnership with other services and agencies as required.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
